About Rock Solid Lapidary

We are a brick and mortar, Main Street Retail Store in the heart of Wyoming.  The store is owned and operated by Alice and Melvin Gustin. Alice is a rockhound and geologist, Melvin is an avid prospector.

We have in stock many types of Wyoming rough rock.  We also have a large inventory of Slabs and cabochons.  Melvin teaches lapidary (the cutting and polishing of rock) in our back room in a one-on-one setting. Alice teaches Jewelry Making and Wirewrapping.

Our inventory consists of products for the lapidarist, beader, silversmith, rockhound, holistic healer, and rock happy friends.  We have tools, beads, stringing supplies, cabochons, rough rock, slabs, tumbling material, books and so much more.

We have been members of our local Mineral and Gem Society for over 35 years, and have both held offices.  We continue to be active and lead a few field trips a year for the club.
